Over 100 Solar Street Lights Installed in Van Nuys
The City of Los Angeles has launched a solar street light pilot program with the first 104 streetlights installed in Van Nuys. Mayor Bass announced the Los Angeles Solar Lighting Pilot Program outside Children’s Community School on Thursday alongside City Councilwoman Imelda Padilla.

East San Fernando Valley Light Rail Transit Project Community Meetings
The Metro team will be hosting community meetings to provide the latest updates on the ESFV LRT Project. Metro will host two meetings, one in-person in the Panorama City community and the other virtual via Zoom.

City of LA Legacy Business Program
The City of Los Angeles is proud to launch the Legacy Business Program, an ongoing initiative to celebrate and support the visibility and sustainability of long-standing Legacy Businesses with tangible benefits, including technical assistance, promotional support, and access to grants and loans.
A “Legacy Business” is defined as a business open to the public that has been in operation for 20 or more years within the same community and which meets three of the following four criteria:
The Legacy Business Program aims to foster economic empowerment by encouraging patronage of participating legacy businesses throughout Los Angeles. Key Highlights of the Legacy Business Program include access to grants & loans, technical assistance, and promotional activities.

ICYMI: Los Angeles delegation in Sacramento announces that the L.A. region would be receiving more than $300 million in emergency reimbursements
Mayor Bass led a two delegation to Sacramento alongside city council members, including Council President Paul Krekorian, that led to securing $300 million emergency reimbursements for the region.
The trip also led to further support for the city’s efforts to shelter the unhoused.

ICYMI: Bloomberg: Los Angeles Seeks Speedier Way to Build New Affordable Homes
“As of early February, (Mayor Bass’) ED 1 has helped lay a pipeline of more than 16,150 affordable housing units across the city of Los Angeles, all without requiring any new funding, public subsidies, or tax credits, per a CalMatters analysis. That’s more than 2020, 2021, and 2022 combined, all by encouraging market-rate developers to do 100% affordable projects.”
