Shauna Scanlon

I am a retired LAUSD teacher.  I taught in the inner city of Los Angeles for 32 years and I speak Spanish.  For the past few years I have been teaching kindergarten at a local community cottage school in Sunland.

I've had many experiences in my professional and personal life to listen and respond to people's needs. I've always worked very closely with parents -- building trusting relationships, as children are our future.

I am from and deeply fond of the Foothills Community having lived here for more than 25 years. 

I am a hard working patriotic citizen who strongly believes in community involvement.  I have attended STNC Outreach Meetings and have volunteered at our local National Night Out at the outreach table.  I have also participated in singing patriotic songs with my singing groups to support our veterans and pay homage to our flag.

The very best way to respect and strengthen our country, state and community is to volunteer locally and unite the neighborhood with whom we live and work.
