Sunland-Tujunga is a NO HUNTING ZONE!
We are asking the City of Los Angeles to immediately work with other agencies, and community members, to declare these areas closed to firearms and bow and arrow discharge before the hunting season of 2017 begins, and to work with all agencies to ensure the 'no firearms or bow and arrow discharge laws' are enforced this year and every year going forward.
If you see infractions, please call: Fish and Game Warden Trevor Powell @ 530-410-8559 or Forest Service Hotline @ 888 334-2258

The CD7 council office response:
We havebeen working diligently on this issue. LAPD's off-road team will be patrolling the wash more heavily during deer hunting season, as will the Forest Rangers as they can, and the LAPD will also be visiting the house next to the wash where ATV use seems to be originating. The Forest Service will also be replacing the no-motorized-vehicle sign that was cut down recently in the Tujunga Wash and they are investigating the possible illegal grading. We are still determining jurisdiction and law applicability in the Haines Canyon area but I will give you a call regarding that in the next day or two, as we continue to work through the complicated jurisdictional area of this recreational space.
